GIVE A DOG A HOME: Sergeant is looking for a place to live

He certainly has been through a lot, but Sergeant, the brindle lurcher who was found collapsed by a member of the public on a small grass verge in Rudry last month is definitely back on his feet.

Sergeant, who is around ten years old, was taken to a vet in Newport for treatment, where it was discovered that he had been shot. He has been recuperating at the RSPCA’s Newport Animal Centre and is now available for rehoming.

Centre manager Debbie Caffull said: “Throughout all his recovery he has proven to be a very placid and well natured dog who deserves to find his happy ever after. He is extremely loving and affectionate and loves being around people.”

Anyone interested in rehoming Sergeant can contact Newport Animal Centre on 0300 123 0744.
