Four arrested after 82 cannabis plants seized in Abertridwr and Senghenydd

Four people have been arrested after police raided three properties in Senghenydd and Abertridwr and seized a total of 82 cannabis plants.

A warrant was executed at a property on Ilan Road, Abertridwr, where 58 cannabis plants were seized along with cultivation equipment and a quantity of dried cannabis. A 25-year-old man from Abertridwr was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug (class B).

A second warrant was executed at a property on Woodland Terrace, Senghenydd. Twelve cannabis plants were seized along with cultivation equipment. A 20-year-old woman from Senghenydd and a 22-year-old man from Abertridwr were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug (class B).

A search was also conducted at a property on Greenfield Place, Abertridwr. Twelve cannabis plants were seized along with cultivation equipment and a quantity of dried cannabis. A 56 year old woman from Abertridwr has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug (class B), cultivation of cannabis and money laundering.

All four people have been released on police bail pending further enquiries following the raids on Wednesday October 22. The arrests were part of Gwent Police’s Operation Resolute.
