Caerphilly-based United Welsh given Investors in People Gold standard

Business, News | | Published: 17:00, Thursday July 2nd, 2015.

Caerphilly-based housing association United Welsh has been awarded the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) Gold standard for a second time.

The IiP award, which recognises a company’s effort to look after its employees, has been held by the association for over 18 years, but a recent review showed United Welsh was worthy of retaining the highest accolade of Gold after demonstrating 98% of the necessary requirements.

Donna Howells, Head of Human Resources at United Welsh, said: “This is a very proud moment for us, as achieving the award is testament to our commitment in developing ourselves, our teams and our tenants.

“We were absolutely thrilled to achieve the Gold standard in 2012, but knowing the satisfaction of staff was high enough to retain the standard and pass with 98% is tremendous.

“Our staff are dedicated, hard-working and committed to improvement, and we won’t become complacent in our efforts to support their goals.”
