The Irish Tymes pub in Caerphilly town was gutted by fire last night, July 20.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at around 11.30pm and a spokesperson said a large area was “severely damaged by fire”.

Police and an ambulance were also at the scene, but there were no casualties and everyone in the building has been accounted for.

Investigators from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service inspected the building this morning and found the fire started accidentally.
