Residents of a sheltered housing complex in Caerphilly were treated to a day out at the beach thanks to a local company.
Constructaquote.com gave council-run Pleasant Place £500 from their community fund so they could hire a minibus to take residents to enjoy fish and chips on the beach in Weston-Super-Mare.
Speaking before the group set off, Lyndon Wood, founder of Constructaquote.com, said: “After meeting the residents of Pleasant Place today I can tell they are deserving recipients of the fund.
“They’re a lively bunch and I’m sure they will have a fantastic trip to the seaside.
“From everyone at Constructaquote.com we hope they really enjoy themselves.”
