Five of Caerphilly County Borough’s parks have retained their Green Flag status.
Parc Cwm Darran, Cwmcarn Forest, Morgan Jones Park, Nelson Wern Park and Waunfawr Park Crosskeys all retained their Green Flags – a scheme by Keep Wales Tidy which recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces in the country for their quality.
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services, said: “This really is excellent news, and is a testament to the continuous hard work of our staff, partners and others to make the parks and open spaces the best they can possibly be.
“The summer holidays are now upon us, so it is an ideal time for residents and visitors to our county borough to sample all that their local park has to offer.”
