Stone slabs stolen from Aberbargoed Memorial Garden

Heartless thieves stole stone slabs from the Memorial Garden in Commercial Street, Aberbargoed.

Gwent Police said the theft happened at around 6.45am on August 29. The slabs have since been recovered, although officers are appealing for information to help catch those who caused damage to a stone bench.

Police have also reported there has been a number of thefts of stone slabs in the Aberbargoed area recently including Bedwellty Road, Commercial Street and Coed Y Moeth Road.

The thieves are said to be gathering the slabs during the early mornings then returning later to collect them with a vehicle.
