A house fire in Energlyn, near Caerphilly town, was accidental, fire investigators have determined.
Two fire crews from Caerphilly were called to the house in Clos Maes Mawr at 12.36am on Monday September 7.
Firefighters arrived within five minutes of receiving the 999 call and found the property’s attic well alight.
A third fire engine from Whitchurch was called as well as an aerial ladder from Cardiff. By 1.07am, a quarter of the roof was on fire and crews requested a water bowser.
By 3.10am the fire was put out and crews were dampening down the building.
