Students from New Cottage Dance Centre in Ystrad Mynach will thrill the audience when they perform a Michael Jackson inspired Latin medley on the stage of the Royal Albert Hall at Dance Proms on November 15.

The 16 students, aged between 13 and 16 are one of just 22 acts chosen from over 200 entries to take to the stage in front of an audience of dance lovers, talent spotters and celebrity patrons including Darcey Bussell CBE, Matt Flint and Arlene Philips.

Their dance features the most popular Latin dances, from the rumba and samba to the cha cha cha, paso doble and jive, and will be performed to Michael Jackson’s greatest hits.

The students’ teacher and choreographer Carol Perry said: “It will be a wonderful experience for the dancers to perform at this prestigious venue alongside so many other very talented groups of dancers.”
