A Picnic in the Park was held in Trethomas recently to support Keep Wales Tidy’s clean up campaign.

More than 60 people joined in with activities such as corn dolly making, while being treated to Tesco fruit samples and a wonderful soup prepared by Groundwork Wales using fresh vegetables from Trethomas allotments. Children also had the opportunity to enjoy a performance from storyteller Guto Dafis.

Andrew King, from Keep Wales Tidy, said: “It was great to have the opportunity to raise awareness of our Be Tidy campaign, not to mention enjoying a bowl of soup prepared with fresh vegetables.”
