Officers in Caerphilly are warning residents to be extra vigilant following two recent break-ins on the Hendredenny estate.

A property on Brookside Close was broken into sometime between 4am on Sunday September 27 and 3am on Thursday October 1. Watches, jewellery and cash were stolen.

The second break-in happened at a home in Caldicot Court during the afternoon of Wednesday October 7. No items were stolen.

Crime and Disorder Reduction Officer PC Stuart Lewis said: “Following the recent burglaries, I would advise residents to be particularly vigilant with their security. If anyone sees anything suspicious or if you have any information about the recent burglaries, please contact us on 101.”
