A memorial garden in Princetown and Tafarnaubach, honouring those who served in the two world wars, has been unveiled.

The Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough Council, Cllr Leon Gardiner, opened the garden at a commemoration on November 7.

The garden is home to a replica plaque, which was originally placed in the Siloam Chapel Tafarnaubach.

It carries the names of the men who served in the war during 1914 and 1918 and 1939 to 1945 from Princetown and Tafarnaubach

Twyn Carno Cllr Carl Cuss said: “We have transformed the former village garden which had become overgrown and difficult to maintain into a beautiful memorial garden for all of the community to enjoy, it is a credit to all of those involved.”
