A 48-hour dispersal order will be enforced in Rhymney this weekend after reports of anti-social behaviour and car cruising.
The order will start at 6pm today, November 20 and run until 6pm on Sunday, November 22.
It covers Lawn Industrial Estate, Havards Row, Ramsden Street and Victoria Road and gives police and community support officers the power to disperse people if they are deemed to be involved in anti-social behaviour.
If they return to that area after being moved on, they face being arrested.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Officers will be patrolling the areas regularly to enforce the dispersal order and to prevent incidents of anti-social behaviour.
“If you do see any suspicious activity, please call us immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
