A council tenant from Gelligaer has won a prestigious national award for the bravery she showed in helping to tackle antisocial behaviour in her community.

Lisa Evans was nominated in the Residents and Communities category of the RESOLVE National Antisocial Behaviour Awards by the Tenancy Enforcement Team at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

The team nominated Ms Evans for her strength of character and determination when working with them to tackle neighbours who were causing antisocial behaviour in her community.

The evidence Ms Evans gave resulted in a closure order being granted by the courts and the person causing the antisocial behaviour being removed from their property.
