The Caerphilly Youth Forum, which represents the interests of youngsters to Caerphilly County Borough Council, has recently held its Cabinet elections for the forthcoming year.
There were nine positions available during the election, with 27 people standing. Each candidate delivered speeches in the council chamber at Ty Penallta, near Ystrad Mynach, before votes were cast.
The results were as follows:

Environment Representative – Curtis Gingell
Health Representative – Luke Parker
Regeneration Representative – Luke Rodrick
UKYP Representative – Daniel Rodrick
Young Wales Representative – Summer Lewis
• During 2015, Caerphilly Youth Forum raised £385.37 for Velindre Cancer Centre through a variety of events.
The Youth Forum received a special thanks from Wales Rugby Union captain Sam Warburton in appreciation of their fundraising efforts.
Velindre was once again voted for as the youth forum’s charity for 2016.
