A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME: Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium is to be known as the Principality Stadium

Principality Building Society and the Welsh Rugby Union have entered a new ten year partnership with the renaming of the Millennium Stadium.

The partnership highlights Principality’s on-going commitment to Welsh rugby and communities across Wales. It will also open up further opportunities for its 500,000 plus members and employees who will receive exclusive offers, early access to WRU tickets and ‘money can’t buy’ experiences.

As well as being the home of Welsh rugby, the multipurpose Principality Stadium plays a central role in Welsh life. Supporting local community events and attracting major music concerts and high-profile business events to the area, the stadium actively generates more than £130m for the local economy each year.

Principality Building Society is the sixth largest building society in the UK and a mutual, meaning it is owned by its members, its savers and borrowers, rather than shareholders.

To coincide with the partnership, Principality Building Society launched the new Principality Stadium Celebration Bond on January 11. The three year fixed-term account is now on sale.
