A newly-formed group has received more than £200 funding from Keep Wales Tidy to help them with a community project.
The Wild Bunch are a group of residents from Churchill Park who have become interested in growing wild flowers to breathe new life into the local community.
The funding from Keep Wales Tidy will go towards planting wild flowers in a well-used, but untidy lane leading into the Churchill Park area of Caerphilly.
Resident Mary Lloyd set up the group and said she hoped the funding would kick-start a range of other projects in the area.
Morgan Jones ward Councillor James Pritchard is working with the group and said: “There’s a great community spirit within the group and it’s brilliant to see residents working together to take ownership of their community.”
