Gwent Police are appealing for information after responding to two reports of fires in the New Tredegar area.

Investigations are under way as to establish the cause of a fire at a property in New Tredegar on the morning of Thursday March 3.

Aberbargoed and Rhymney crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service responded to an emergency call at 12.45am at a flat on George Street, Phillipstown. No one was inside the property.
