Eggsciting Easter activities taking place across the borough

There are a range of activities on offer this Easter throughout Caerphilly County Borough, from crafts to Easter egg hunts.

Llancaiach Fawr Manor is holding an Easter Eggstravaganza which promises to be full of Easter-themed fun.

The manor will play host on Friday March 25 and Monday March 28 between 11am and 4pm to a variety of activities, which includes making Easter baskets, bonnets, paper plate chicks and Easter bags. There will also be games in the courtyard. An Easter egg hunt will start at 11.30am on the Monday.

Normal manor entry fees apply for this event – £7.95 per adult and £6.50 for concessions, while children under five can attend for free.

Visit the Winding House Museum in New Tredegar for Easter activities on Friday March 25 and Monday March 28, with sessions running from 11am until 12pm.

On Friday, visitors can create their very own Easter basket and eggs while Monday offers the chance to make a beautiful Easter bonnet or bunny crown. Booking is essential for each event and costs £2.50 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Call the Winding House on 01443 822666 to book a place.

Cwmcarn Forest has a number of activities on offer throughout Easter which are sure to please children of all ages.

Get creative at an Easter clay workshop on Saturday March 26, with sessions from 11am until 2pm.

Children are invited to make an Easter bunny or egg using air dried clay. The session costs £5 per child and is recommended for children age four and upwards. Booking is required.

The Great Easter Bunny Hunt will be held at Cwmcarn Forest on Sunday March 27 from 10am until 4pm.

Come along to investigate which naughty bunny is stealing Easter eggs by searching an Easter trail. There will be an eggsciting reward for those who guess correctly.

Spaces cost £4.50 per child, which includes an Easter gift. This event is for children aged four and up. Booking is not required for this event.

On Thursday 31st March, children can get messy with paints and feathers to create an Easter themed plate. Sessions will run from 10.30am until 2.15pm. Each session costs £2 per child. Booking is required for this event.

The Old Library in Caerphilly’s Morgan Jones Park is holding an Easter egg hunt competition between Friday March 25 and Monday March 28. Visit the Old Library for your set of clues and then head into the park to find the eight eggs for a prize. Entry costs £2 per child.

On Good Friday, March 25, at Sainsbury’s Pontllanfraith starting at 11am there will be an Easter Bonnet parade. Different ages are welcome to join in the fun and there are great prizes to be won.
