Vale of Glamorgan MP Alun Cairns has been appointed as Secretary of State for Wales following Stephen Crabb’s promotion to Work and Pensions Secretary.
Mr Crabb, who was appointed Secretary of State for Wales in July 2014, was promoted following the shock resignation of Iain Duncan Smith.
Cairns has promised to continue working with communities, businesses and the Welsh Government to deliver a package for the whole of Wales.
He said: “This has been an extraordinary week for Wales with a City Deal for Cardiff Capital Region, the doors being opened for a North Wales growth deal and negotiations for a Swansea Bay city deal.
“The Severn tolls announcement demonstrates that Wales is open for business and I am determined to keep this momentum going and deliver on these projects.
“I am privileged to accept the role as Secretary of State for Wales and look forward to being a strong voice at the Cabinet table to make sure that economic growth is felt across all parts of Wales.”
Could`nt do a worse job than Crabb.
Now Crabb is in the Toxic Hot seat at the DWP he should make a bigger pigs ear of it than he did as Welsh Secretary, and an even bigger pigs ear of that job than IDS, who, I think took a leaf out of The Welsh Nationalist group on the Welsh Assembly, in throwing toys out of prams. What a bunch of chancers the whole lot of them.
You were doing so well until the child in you came out
Yawn zzzz boring
You must expect political comparisons when your party, The Welsh Nationalists, acts in such a way to bring it into disrepute, like the Tories.
Your party, has taken on the mantle of “The Nasty Party”, from the Tories. Many of your community representatives are Rude, Disrespectful, Politically Crude, and unaccepting of others differing political viewpoints, this extrapulates into a lessoning of local community support, a base which is built on sand, and undermines the wonderful work and representation SOME will NEVER gain real power to rule Wales so long as its local representatives are not prepared to adopt a freindly, publuc facing persona, crudility rules in your party, your own rude and crude, twisted interpretation of the situation on a number of issues proves my point. If The Welsh Nationalist want to be accepted in the arena of grown up politics in Wales, Brussels or Westminster they have to learn to walk a straight line, ditch the gimmicks and SMILE.
Yawn zzz
That`s the way, go back to sleep!!. you have lost the argument.
Do you realise you are pushing Labour voters away with your immature postings?
No, certainly not, the truth cannot be avioded, even by ellusionery Welsh Nationalists.
It`s ” illusionary & avoided ”
With that I rest my case
Perfectly Correct, The Welsh Nationalist who spout such rubbish should note your comment, they were avoidable, (because they were wrong) and illusionary (because their contentions did not exist.)
They really should take note of your comment.
Are you really that stupid?
All those wasted votes on Labour – Duh!
lol
