Fire crews and paramedics worked through the early hours of the morning to free a man trapped in a car that had left the road.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Rhymney and Ebbw Vale were called at around 2.45am today, Thursday, April 7, after the car left the road at Glyn Street, Abertysswg.
The Welsh Ambulance Service sent their hazardous area response team, along with paramedics and an ambulance to the scene.
Emergency services used a winch and cutting equipment to get the car and rescue the driver, who was taken to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil at around 4am.
