The Caerphilly branch of DIY retailer B&Q was raided twice by thieves in just four days – with garden furniture, cement mixers, shower units and barbecues stolen.

The first break-in happened overnight between Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, with thieves getting into the store’s yard and warehouse.

Items stolen included five Carnbrook patio sets, five Elsa Rattan garden sets, five Belle cement mixers, five Berkeley barbecues and eight Danbury Rattan garden sets. Gwent Police said the total value of the haul was in excess of £5,200. (log 167 25/06/16)

The second break-in happened overnight between midnight and 7am on Monday, June 27. Again the yard was broken into, as well as a delivery van. Shower units and wallpaper rolls were stolen.

Anyone with information about the break-ins at the store, which is on the Gallagher Retail Park, can call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log numbers 167 25/06/16 and log 73 27/06/16.
