Police are looking to trace these three men in connection with an assault in Blackwood in June

Police are appealing for help to identify these three men in connection with an assault in Blackwood which left a man needing hospital treatment.

The assault took place at the junction of High Street and Thorncombe Road at around 2.40am on Saturday June 4.

A 27-year-old man from Newbridge received head injuries and was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport for treatment and has since been released.

Gwent Police said a 26-year-old man from Blackwood has been arrested on suspicion of affray and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
