A Welsh-language children’s book based on the Senghenydd colliery disaster of 1913 has been published in paperback after being translated into English.
The Darkest of Days, by Gareth F Williams, won the Tir na n-Og literary Award in 2014.
The fictional novel portrays the disaster, which killed 440, through the eyes of 13-year-old boy John Williams.
The Darkest of Days is available for £5.99 online and from the Aber Valley Heritage Centre in Senghenydd.
