Police are appealing for information after a car was damaged at Morgan Jones Park, Caerphilly.
Officers from Gwent Police would like to identify the woman pictured after a report of criminal damage to a vehicle parked at the maintenance office of Morgan Jones Park.
The incident took place sometime between Friday, July 1, and Monday, July 4, and the damage caused was a result of someone trying to prize open the doors of the car.
If anyone recognises the woman in the pictures, or has any information on this incident, call Gwent Police pm 101 quoting log: 196 16/09/15.
The word should be “prise” which is to use a lever to lift or force apart. “Prize” is something you win in a competition.
The gates at Morgan jones park are NOT locked overnight, I’ve been told that Caerphilly Council cannot afford to pay someone to lock up.
what a stupid excuse.
chief executive Anthony O’Sullivan and two colleagues have been paid full pay since they have been suspended and they are STILL being paid while they are NOT working how can the council afford to do this?
Due to the way the council is funded – through our ever increasing taxes they do whatever they please with the money, they are not accountable to anybody, they don’t have to turn a profit to pay their staff, if the council were run like a business it wouldn’t last very long, it is absurd that they can pay out millions on suspended staff members but can’t afford to lock a gate! If the private storage company in Caerphilly that I use took this poor attitude to security they’d soon be an ex storage company. Local councils should not be service providers, this should be delivered by private companies as they can do it far more efficiently, councils should only be there to regulate.
Not only this but they also “cannot afford” a toilet attendant at the public convenience next to the Visit Caerphilly Centre and at the Railway Station. Goodness knows what tourists make of this town.
As you say, despite this they can still find money to pay huge salaries for people who don’t work.
The CCBC can of course manage to lock the gates on Morgan Jones Park, they already employ staff as ¬streetWarden` who can do it, no extra cost no special arrangements, these staff ride around in Council Vehicles provided to them, Issue an instruction that every night at a certain time THEYWILL LOCK THESE GATES AT MORGAN JONES PARK, the solution is THAT SIMPLE, no cost no problems no issues, ALL IT NEEDS IS FOR A LOCAL COUNCILLOR TO DEMAND IT BE DONE AND IT WOULD BE DONE.
