Teenagers from a youth centre in Senghenydd have personally thanked members of Caerphilly Council after their timely intervention earlier this year provided the centre with enough funding to continue.
Christina Harrhy, Corporate Director for Communities, and Cllr Ken James, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Sustainable Development visited Senghenydd Youth Drop in Centre on Tuesday, August 2, and met members of the Youth Committee, who explained the support they had received from the project and presented their guests with homemade jam.
SYDIC’s Communities First funding was cut by more than 50% in March.
