Occupants of a bungalow in Risca managed to escape serious injury after an electrical fire.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Risca, Duffryn attended the blaze on Mount Road, Gelli Park, at around 6.52am this morning, Saturday, August 27. On arrival, crews were faced with flames coming through the front door and called for a third crew from Malpas.
Everyone was reported as out of the building at 8.14am with the fire, which is believed to have begun in a cupboard, extinguished.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said its emergency incident support volunteers attended to the people who got out of the building.
