Victim pinned down in raid

A robbery victim was pinned down in his own home by a bogus charity collector while his laptop and Rolex watch was stolen.

Police are appealing for information after the robbery happened at an address in Cambrian Street, Rhymney.

Gwent Police said a man and woman called at the house claiming they were collecting money for charity. The occupant went into the living room to get some money and the callers followed him in.

The man then pinned the occupant to the sofa and took his Rolex watch. The woman stole an Apple laptop. The occupant was unharmed.

The incident happened either on Friday, August 12 or Saturday, August 13.

The man is described as being white, approximately 6ft 6in tall, of medium build with brown hair. He was wearing a brown coloured denim jacket and blue denim jeans.

The woman is described as being Asian, 5ft tall and of petit build. She had wavy shoulder-length black hair and was wearing a black leather jacket, a white v-neck t-shirt and blue denim jeans.
