Libraries across Caerphilly County Borough have signed up to a scheme aimed at boosting people’s computer skills.
Already promoting IT literacy through its free drop-in Digital Fridays sessions, the library service has now signed up to the Welsh Government’s Digital Inclusion Charter.
Set up in February 2016, the charter helps promote organisations in Wales that support people to get online. It consists of six pledges which prove organisations commit to helping people improve their digital skills and help them use online services.
Lisa Thomas, Digital and E-Services Manager at Caerphilly Library Service, said: “As a library service we strive to support digital inclusion for all and through this programme we can further embed and raise awareness of this principle in our communities.”
