Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was taken to hospital after an assault in Caerphilly.
A 24-year-old man was approached by another man outside The Charcoal Grill takeaway on Cardiff Road, Caerphilly at around 1.30am on Sunday October 9.
They had a short conversation before the man punched him several times in the face. He was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff as a result of his injuries, and has since been released.
