A recruitment agency based near Ystrad Mynach has been named one of the fastest growing firms in Wales.

Focused Recruitment, based at Tredomen Business Park, has been placed on the prestigious Wales Fast Growth 50 list after it grew by 641.8% between 2013 and 2015.

Established in 2007, Focused Recruitment has also been shortlisted for the fastest growing Welsh firm in recruitment services for 2016.

The company, which specialises in the engineering and technical, manufacturing and industrial, and commercial sectors has doubled its workforce over the last two years and recently relocated to a larger office at the Tredomen Innovation and Technology Centre.

The agency has set a target of doubling its turnover to £4 million over the next 12 months.

Co-founder and Managing Director Kathryn Morgan said: “We are absolutely thrilled to make the Fast Growth 50 list.

“By refusing to adopt short-term profit-focused sales targets, Focused Recruitment is delivering recruitment the way it should be – guided by values of performance, trust, transparency and respect.

“We owe much of our growth to the loyalty of our clients and candidates, and of course, our talented team of recruitment consultants.”

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, founder of the Wales Fast Growth 50, said: “I am really pleased to welcome Focused Recruitment to our Fast Growth 50 ‘family’ where they join a group of high-performing businesses that are creating valuable jobs and wealth for the Welsh economy.

“Being named a Fast Growth 50 firm is a huge achievement, particularly because we had a fantastic response to this year’s competition and the quality of the entries was exceptionally high.

“Focused Recruitment has enjoyed a phenomenal period of growth over recent years, which is testament to the hard work of the team.”

The Fast Growth 50 awards will be held at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff on October 21.
