Appeal after motorcycle is stolen from Hengoed by thieves using black van

Police are appealing for information after a motorcycle was stolen from Hengoed in a black van.

The red and black BMW S100R motorcycle, which has the registration number CN16 OSF, was stolen from from Chapel Terrace, Hengoed, at around 8.20pm on Saturday October 29.

The bike was loaded onto the back of a black transit van by three men, and driven from the area.

Two of the men are described as white, with dark hair, around five feet ten inches tall, while the other man is described as white, with fair hair, and around five feet six inches tall. All the men were in their early twenties, wearing dark clothing.

The van has a registration number similar to M54 MVE.

Anyone with any information about this incident can call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number: 468 29/10/16.

    Somebodies pride and joy snatched by a gang of low lifes who will strip it down or sell it on, there are far too many thieves in vans cruising our streets looking for things to steal, i’ve given police reg numbers in the past and they’ve done sweet F A about it.

      Yes I agree, unfortunately this is now the accepted way of life. This is because no one has the guts to do anything about it. In addition the courts do not deal with these low life scum properly, even if they are caught.

          There are an endless stream of vans patrolling the streets where I live under the guise of ‘scrap metal collectors’, if Caerphilly Council got of it’s back side and together with useless Gwent Police who are there to PREVENT crime and not to simply scratch their heads and shrug their shoulders after a crime has been committed, and did something about these crooks cruising around looking for things to steal then this type of crime would be reduced.
