Police are looking for the man wearing black after an assault outside a nightclub in Bargoed

A man was knocked out cold and hospitalised after a parking row in Bargoed town centre.

At around 11pm on Friday, October 21, a group of three people were walking up from Bargoed High Street, in the direction of Hanbury Road – making their way around a white VW Golf parked illegally on the pavement.

Police believe there was some sort of dispute between the group and the driver.

CCTV then shows the driver of the white VW Golf assaulting a member of public outside Blisters (Cleopatra’s) Nightclub.

The attacker was wearing dark clothes and after being chased by a witness, got back into a white, new shaped VW Golf and drove off towards Bargoed High Street.

The 44-year-old man who was punched to the head was taken to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil. He was released later that weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who can identify the driver of the VW Golf, to call them on 101 quoting log 613 21/10/16.
