Parc Penallta, near Ystrad Mynach, turned into a river of rejoicing red as a sea of seasonal Father Christmases took part in the first annual Santa Dash.
Held on Sunday, December 4, around 130 runners of all ages set off raising funds for Scout groups across Caerphilly County Borough and charity Cancer Research.
Organised by the CRAI District Scout Council, the family-fun run was held under blue skies as the band of boots and bells braced the crisp Sunday morning air.
Organisers hope the event will become a yearly yuletide meeting, with good causes and cheer at the centre of the festive celebrations.
