Pupils from Ynysddu Primary School got to work with local author Gaynor Torrance to help celebrate World Book Day last week.

The event, held at Sainsbury’s Pontllanfraith on March 2, saw Year 3 and Year 4 pupils take part in Harry Potter-themed activities as well as trying to create their own pieces of literature.

Gaynor worked the children using the beginning of one of her stories and letting them write the next paragraph. The children were then invited to share their work with each other.
