A man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a woman, after what police have described as an “altercation” at Hengoed railway station.
British Transport Police said it was appealing for witnesses to the row, which happened at around 9.35am on December 1 last year. It has only now published the appeal.
The woman was picked up by a man, who was known to her, and carried her out of the station over his shoulder.
She was then taken to a house, where she left a short time later. The woman was not injured in the incident and reported it to police later in January.
An 18-year-old man from the local area has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and is on police bail until March 22.
Investigating officer Det Con Chris Bolton said: “It was early on a Thursday morning when this incident occurred and so there would have been a number of people around who could have seen what happened.
“If you saw anything, please let us know by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016, with the reference 166 of 13 March.”
