STAR-STUDDED: Ben Thompson does his thing during The Definitive Elvis Experience

A dull and rainy night was transformed into a joyous experience, writes Joanne Burgess, thanks to The Definitive Elvis Experience at Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday, February 25.

What a show. For two-and-a-half hours the audience of young and old was rockin’ and rollin’ in the aisles.

The show was well produced and presented with Ben Thompson one of the finest Elvis impersonators on the circuit. His strong and powerful voice – and not to mention his Elvis moves – set the audience alight and left them all shook up.

Supported by his band, backing group and supporting female singer. Ben expressed his gratitude to his Welsh fans who have supported him throughout his career, telling them on the night that it had been worth the wait to return to the Valleys.

• Ben Thompson is set to return to Blackwood in the autumn.
