Entrepreneurs told to keep an open mind at Business Wales Growth Week

Business, News | | Published: 17:00, Monday March 20th, 2017.

A boss at Wales’ fastest growing company has told entrepreneurs to go into business with an open mind and to look for the next big opportunity.

James Bennett, Sales and Marketing Director of Bedwas-based aviation firm AerFin, made the comments as part of the recently-held Business Wales Growth Week.

The week consisted of several events hosted at flagship companies across Wales and was dedicated to fostering growth in the Welsh marketplace.

Speaking at such an event, Bennett said: “When compared to a lot of other Welsh businesses, AerFin has only been in existence for a short number of years. In that time the firm has gone from strength-to-strength, achieving unprecedented growth.

“The takeaway message here is to go into business with an open mind. Keep an eye on your future goals and always be looking for the next big business opportunity.”

The business audience heard how the civil aviation parts distributor and lessor went from inception in 2010, to top of the Fast Growth 50 listings in 2016, as well as being placed sixth by the Sunday Times in their Fast Track 100 list for UK companies.

Guests also heard from AerFin’s Managing Director Bob James, who explained how the firm celebrated a 1044% profit increase over the last two years, generating over £17million of additional turnover.
