The A469 road between the A472 and the Tesco roundabout in Ystrad Mynach has reopened following a car crash earlier today, Monday April 24.

At approximately 10.05am emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle crash on New Road in Ystrad Mynach.

Two people from one of the vehicles have been taken to hospital with what Gwent Police describe as “non-life threatening injuries”.

The road was closed while recovery work took place but has since reopened.
