Marks and Spencer’s Foodhall in Llanishen – but could one be coming to Caerphilly?

Retailer Marks and Spencer has refused to rule out speculation that it could open one of its food stores in Caerphilly town.

Rumours circulating on social media have suggested the chain is interested in opening a branch on Gallagher Retail Park, near Crossways, possibly near to current tenants Wickes and What!.

Asked directly by Caerphilly Observer about the speculation, the company admitted that it was interested in Caerphilly town as a location.

An M&S spokesperson said: “We do have an interest in developing our food offering in Caerphilly, but we have nothing to confirm at the moment.”

The company currently has an M&S Foodhall outlet in Llanishen.
