Fitness log website awarded at prestigious London ceremony

News | | Published: 13:58, Thursday May 4th, 2017.

A fitness log website which was the brainchild of a Bargoed man has been recognised at a London awards ceremony.

Fetcheveryone, run by Ian Williams, offers training logs for runners, cyclists and swimmers, along with event listings, discussion boards, and a sense of community with other enthusiasts.

The website picked up the bronze award for Best Online Community from The Running Awards 2017, which was held at the O2 in London on Thursday April 20.

Mr Williams said: “I’m over the moon. This is an enormous boost to Fetcheveryone, and is entirely down to the strength of the community of runners that we’ve built over the last 13 years. In that time I have seen plenty of big-budget attempts to create online communities – but from my perspective, it’s all about dedication and listening to your audience.

“They know that running isn’t something you can Photoshop – and I think they appreciate the honesty of our website.”
