A Welsh language pre-school nursery has undergone a facelift.

The committee and staff of Cylch Meithrin Tonyfelin, in Caerphilly, were busy over the Easter holidays removing carpets, painting and moving in new equipment.

The cylch meithrin, pictured left, is going from strength-to-strength with new investment and was recently praised by inspectors for the quality of its care.

Based on Bedwas Road, Cylch Meithrin Tonyfelin was awarded a ‘good’ mark in all aspects of its inspection by regulatory body Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW).

The inspection looked at a variety of areas including quality of life, staffing, and the environment, and noted that children attending the group “have access to a wide range of good quality, developmentally appropriate play and learning resources which ensures they have good variety and choice.”
