Over 200 youngsters from across Caerphilly County Borough took the plunge and competed in a festival of swimming.
The festival – the first of its kind in the borough – saw 210 Year 6 pupils from a number of schools compete in a variety of races across the period of a week.
A winning school was crowned at the end of each of the days.
Children from Ystrad Mynach Primary, pictured above, Ysgol Y Castell, Abercarn Primary, Bedwas Primary and Maesycwmmer Primary schools received medals and trophies for their successes.
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services, said: “Well done to everyone who took part. This fantastic event promotes the importance of swimming to school pupils throughout Caerphilly County Borough and I hope the event continues to raise awareness next year.”
