A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the supply of drugs following the death of a 15-year-old girl.

Shauna Davies, 15, of Caerphilly, died in the early hours of Sunday, June 18, after emergency services were called to a wooded area just off Caerphilly Mountain Road, near Caerphilly town.

Gwent Police said other four people who were also arrested have been released under investigation.

In a statement released via Gwent Police, Shauna’s family said: “Shauna was a beautiful person inside and out, always bubbly, genuine and loyal to everyone. She was loved by so many people, she loved her brother and sister and friends and was fiercely loyal to them. She will be missed by so many.

“We were very proud parents. Fly high our beautiful daughter.”

The circumstances surrounding Shauna’s death are not yet known and Gwent Police said her family are being supported by specialist officers.
