Caerphilly’s Assembly Member Hefin David visited residents at a care home last month to help officially open its new dementia centre.

The visit took place on June 16 – which was the national care home open day – at Trafalgar Park Care Home in Nelson.

Dr David was joined by Caerphilly County Borough Mayor John Bevan and Cllr Carl Cuss, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Services for an opening ceremony.

Dr David said: “This care home is really important to look after people in our community suffering with dementia.”
