A man on crutches was taken to hospital after he was attacked in Caerphilly town on Friday night.
Police were called at 9.10pm on Friday, September 1, to a report of an assault at Station Terrace, near the public toilets.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “One man who was on crutches at the time of the assault was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
“A teenage male was seen running from the scene in the direction of Caerphilly Road wearing a grey and black rain jacket and dark jeans.”

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance added: “We sent a crew in an emergency ambulance and a man was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport with injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.”
There is a Friday night problem with teenagers around the area of the Railway Station, ‘Cwtch’ pub and Clive Street which has gone on for months. Youngsters congegate here and sometimes attack those they see as vulnerable. Time something was done, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
Until we get Police Constables patrolling our communities and particularly town centres – matters will not improve any time soon.
Too much emphasis is placed on town centre cctv cameras.
Response Policing is not the answer – as it provides no deterrent factor.
Bang on target – I wish people would be more positive about voting in a police commissioner who wants the same as the general public. Unfortunately the priviledged political class have hijacked the whole process and good, independent, candidates no longer bother to stand.
It would also help if the process for standing for Police Commissioner was not the most demanding of any elected office in the entire country. A 5,000 pound deposit and 100 signatures from eligible voters. That is 10 times for demanding that the barrier to stand as an MP.
