Leisure centre usage on the up in Caerphilly County Borough

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Leisure Service has reported a 3% increase in direct debit memberships over the past year and says it has achieved an impressive 97% customer satisfaction rate.

The Sport Caerphilly Team are also enjoying success as they too have seen a 3% increase in participation levels for sporting activities, attracting 83,516 customers over the past year.

The leisure centres have also seen a 4% increase in customers aged between three and 11-years-old regularly attending to participate in sport three times per week.

Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services, Cllr Nigel George, said: “We are committed to continuously improving and enhancing the sport and leisure services we provide.

“The growing popularity of the service is testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff who provide excellent customer service across all of our facilities and clubs.”
