There are just three days to go before entries close for the 2017 Caerphilly Business Forum Awards.
The awards, now in their 16th year, were launched recently at a special event held at Llechwen Hall – the venue for the awards ceremony on November 17.
This year sees ten category awards up for grabs, with three new categories introduced for the first time – Creative and Digital Business of the Year, Technology and Innovation Business of the Year, and Start-Up of the Year. All entrants will also be entered automatically into the Premier Award.
Denise Lovering, Chair of Caerphilly Business Forum, said: “Caerphilly has long been a veritably hotbed for innovation and business excellence, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the technology and creative industries.
“These sectors have sparked a rapidly growing start-up scene that is seeing many of the county’s fledgling businesses make a significant impact on not just the regional economy, but that of the whole of Wales and the rest of the UK.
“It is for this reason that we introduced the creative, technology and start-up awards this year – to recognise the significant contribution that these businesses are making.”
Businesses have until Friday, October 6, to enter, with the winners announced at a black-tie event hosted by BBC presenter, Jamie Owen.
Mrs Lovering added: “The Caerphilly Business Forum Awards 2017 are a great opportunity for Caerphilly’s business community to gain the attention it richly deserves and to further enhance its position as a destination of choice for those organisations looking to start and scale.
“Against this backdrop, we expect to see the number of entries received this exceed all previous years.”
