Pride in Your Place Awards opens

Nominations have opened for a council-backed awards scheme which recognises efforts made to improve a community’s environment.

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s annual Pride in Your Place Awards are open to all residents, schools, businesses and community groups within the county borough.

Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services, said: “The popularity of the Pride in Your Place Awards continues to grow each year.

“We have so many fantastic groups and individuals in our community doing excellent work and thanks to our sponsors we are able to recognise their efforts during the special awards ceremony.

The awards are being supported by firms Seda International Packaging and the Bryn Group.

The closing date for applications is Friday, November 24.

There are several award categories to enter, and for more information visit www.caerphilly.gov.uk, call 01443 873758 or email prideinyourplace@caerphilly.gov.uk.
