Gwent Police is appealing for information following a burglary in Lansbury Park, Caerphilly.
Two people forced their way into a flat on Maxton Court and demanded the victim’s car keys. The man was assaulted and received cuts to his head.
It happened just before midnight on Sunday, October 22.
The two burglars made off with the car, a Peugeot 106, from outside the flat. It was later recovered nearby.
The offenders were said to be both wearing hooded tops and masks.
The victim, a 46-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital and has since been released.
Anyone with any information can call Gwent police on 101 quoting log 572 22/10/17 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A disgust act. Once again we have another story from Gwent police asking for information. We need constables on our streets to stop such crimes. We don’t need pretend police such as CPOs and Council wardens, who don’t go out after dark, or in most recent times they don’t seem to go out at all. We need real police out there but not driving but walking around our estates.
Sadly yet another appeal by the Police for information – after the event !
We need police officers patrolling communities on foot to deter and detect such appalling crimes.
